Refund Policy

At Marshall Solar and Energy we take your rights as consumers under Australian consumer law seriously.

Change of mind
We offer a 14 day no questions asked refund on any items worth $200 or less. For any items over $200 it is at the discretion of management.

Faulty Products

If you get a faulty product we commit to remedy the problem as quick a possible

Doesn’t do what it needs to do or meet the description on the invoice

If the item is not the same as the sample or it doesn’t match the description then we will offer a replacement or refund.

The goods don’t do what the salesperson said they would

If one of our salesperson tells you the customer in writing that the goods will do something, they are effectively making a warranty that is covered under the ACL. If it does not do what is recommended then you are entitled to a refund.

When You Do Not Have to Refund the Consumer
The customer changed their mind

You do not have to provide the customer with a refund if they simply change their mind. Many stores still have this option and may offer store credit or exchange instead of refunding the items.

When we will not offer a refund

The customer does not have a receipt

We are not required to refund goods if the customer does not have a receipt or is unable to show proof of purchase. If they don’t have a receipt, they could show their credit card statement or a lay-by agreement, or a confirmation or receipt number if it was an online purchase.

Customers who buy items online have the same rights as consumers who purchase in-store.
