GoodWe Wi-Fi Light Indicator
The meaning of the GoodWe Wi-Fi light depends on the state of the light:
- Solid Yellow: The Wi-Fi is configured and connected.
- Blinking Yellow: The Wi-Fi is resetting, or the configuration was unsuccessful.
- Blinking Twice, Then Off, and Repeating: There may be an issue with the Wi-Fi router.
- Solid, Then Off, Then Solid Again, and Repeating: There may be an issue with the Wi-Fi server.
Make sure to observe the Wi-Fi indicator on your GoodWe inverter. If the light is blinking or off, follow the instructions below to reset the inverter and restore the connection.
Step 1: Locate and Turn Off the Inverter
- Locate the “Main Switch Inverter Supply”, which is typically found in the main switchboard or a sub-board.
- Once you have located the main switch, turn it to the OFF position to disconnect the inverter from the grid.
Step 2: Locate and Turn Off the DC Isolator
- Find the DC Isolator, which is typically located on the bottom right side of the inverter.
- Turn the DC Isolator to the OFF position to fully power down the inverter.
Step 3: Wait for the Inverter Screen to Turn Off
- Wait until the inverter’s screen powers off completely, indicating that the inverter has fully shut down.
Step 4: Leave the Inverter Off
- Leave the inverter turned off for approximately one minute to ensure a complete reset of the system.
Step 5: Turn the Inverter Back On
- First, turn the DC Isolator back to the ON position.
- Then, turn the Main Switch Inverter Supply circuit breaker back on in the main switchboard or sub-board.
This will power the inverter back up and reconnect it to the grid.
Step 6: Wait for the Inverter to Reconnect
- It may take a minute or two for the inverter to restart.
- Look for the Wi-Fi light on the inverter to turn to solid orange.
If the light turns solid orange, the inverter has successfully reconnected to the network.
Step 7: If the Light Does Not Turn Solid Orange
- If the Wi-Fi light does not turn to solid orange, indicating that the connection was not successful, please contact Marshall Solar & Energy at 1800 82 66 76 for further support.
